Glasen is a printed film that brings a superb range of decorative effects to glass for the first time. By taking a traditional mass-market product in glass and developing Glasen, LG Hausys have provided consumers with a superior interior decorative glass solution that will inspire working and living interior design spaces.

Glasen is laminated to the reverse of a single panel of glass. David Clouting has been working with the UK glass industry to ensure local supply can provide lamination to a single sheet of glass. Most glass decorative lamination is based on two sheets of glass being bonded together. Glasen reduces the glass requirement by 50%.
The visual combination of high quality gravure printing in conjunction with the glass provides the ultimate high gloss. Glasen can be applied to any specification of glass, so there is no limit to where it can be used.
Commercial and domestic applications for decorative glass panels created using Glasen are likely to include:

Apart from its great visual appeal, Glasen also performs well as a safety film. Glasen conforms to the latest safety film EN 12600: 2003-04 European standards and has been awarded a classification of: 2 B 2 (drop height 450mm). This is the accepted classification for glass and mirrors with a safety film backing.
David Clouting is introducing into the UK, twelve stock Glasen designs. This is the first part of what will be a developing range, led by designer input and individual customer specification.
Print styles available for Glasen include fashionable designs such as geometrics, abstract, metallic, feature floral, and wood grains.
